P2P poker: crypto poker sites, rake and the rules

P2P poker is online poker played against other players, never the house: the room deals the cards and earns a rake from each pot or a fee on each tournament buy-in. ACR's own terms call its network "primarily a peer-to-peer online poker cardroom". This guide compares the published rake at the crypto poker sites we list, explains what crypto and no-KYC claims mean in the terms, and sets out where the format is legal.

How P2P poker works

01

Fund the account

Crypto rooms give you a deposit address. CoinPoker lists BTC, USDT (ERC20), USDC, ETH, SOL, TRX, BNB and XRP with no CoinPoker fee; ACR lists BTC, ETH, LTC, USDT and USDC.

02

Choose a table or tournament

Cash-game chips can be taken off the table between hands. A tournament buy-in is spent once, with an entry fee added on top.

03

Play against the table

The house holds no hand. Every chip you win comes from an opponent, and the deal comes from the room's RNG shuffle.

04

The room takes rake

A percentage of each cash-game pot up to a cap per hand, usually only once the flop is dealt.

05

Rakeback returns part of it

Loyalty schemes pay back a share of the rake you paid, in cash or in points.

Illustrative · no real money

Worked example

Illustrative: three pots at a six-handed $1/$2 No Limit Hold'em table, all reaching the flop, using each room's published rate and cap as of October 2026.

Rake on the same three pots at ACR and WPT Global
PotACR (5%, $3 cap)WPT Global (4%, $8 cap)
$40$2.00$1.60
$100$3.00 (capped)$4.00
$300$3.00 (capped)$8.00 (capped)
ACR rake on three pots$8.00
WPT Global rake on three pots$13.60

The lower percentage costs less on small pots and the lower cap costs less on big ones. CoinPoker publishes caps but no percentage, so it is left out of the sum.

Poker rake at P2P poker sites compared

Rake is the room's whole income from a cash game, so it decides how much money leaves the table over a session. The three crypto poker rooms we list publish their No Limit Hold'em rake, as of October 2026:

RoomNL Hold'em rateExample caps per handRakeback
CoinPokerCaps only, no percentage published$0.05 / $0.12 / $0.20 at $0.01/$0.02 (2 / 3-4 / 5+ players); $2 / $5 / $8 at $2/$53-Bet Club: 10% of table fees weekly, 12.5% or 15% with HUD-stat targets
ACR Poker5% ($0.01 per $0.20) up to $1/$2$0.50 / $1 / $2 / $3 for 2 / 3 / 4 / 5-9 players; the 5-9 player cap stays $3 at higher stakesElite Benefits: 5.5 Rank Points per $1 of rake; 100 Combat Points = $1 at the base rate
WPT Global4.00% at every USD stake$0.15 / $0.30 at $0.02/$0.05 (2-4 / 5+ players); $4 / $8 at $1/$240% rakeback for a session started at an empty High-stakes table

The timing rules differ as well. WPT Global applies "no flop, no drop" in every game except Pace, where NLHE rake is 4-5% and is taken even without a flop. CoinPoker says its fees are "postflop-only unless a 3-bet happens preflop". ACR assigns rake to each player by its "Weighted Contributed" method, which is what its reward points are based on. In tournaments the room takes an entry fee on top of the buy-in instead of raking pots.

One withdrawal rule matters as much as the percentage: ACR requires poker rake or tournament fees equal to at least 10% of everything you have deposited before any withdrawal, and casino or sports bets do not count towards it (terms, section 6.1.2).

Best crypto poker sites: what we check

Crypto poker sites take coins instead of cards, but the poker is the same: a server deals from an RNG and players move chips between themselves. On this site "best" means three things we can verify: a licence that validates on the regulator's own register, a published rake table, and terms that name the company running the room. CoinPoker (Precise Interactive Inc., Panama) and ACR (International Processing Services SA, Panama) both validate on the Anjouan seal checker. WPT Global's operator, Everstronglink Limited, appears on the Tobique Gaming Commission's licence-holder list.

None of these rooms is provably fair in the crypto-casino sense. CoinPoker describes a Fisher-Yates shuffle and names no testing lab; ACR says iTech Labs certified its RNG. WPT Global takes crypto as one deposit method among several rather than running a crypto-only cashier.

Other bitcoin poker sites

Several well-known bitcoin poker sites are not on our list. SwC Poker takes Bitcoin only, asks for nothing but an email address and says the organisation "chooses to remain anonymous": there is no licence and no company to complain to. Stake Poker runs inside Stake.com, whose terms give a Curaçao licence for Medium Rare N.V.; its card-room rake page would not load for us, so we quote no rake for it. Ignition is US-facing and blocked our non-US visit; its footer names two different companies and links to an Anjouan finance-authority page rather than a gaming-board validator. Our P2P crypto casino guide applies the same checks to other formats.

Crypto poker with no KYC: what the terms allow

Poker sites that accept crypto often market quick sign-up, but the terms decide when you must show ID. CoinPoker's marketing mentions "no verification requirements", while section 6.1 of its terms lets it verify identity, age, address, payment methods and source of funds at transaction thresholds, on suspicion or at any time. ACR collects name and address at registration and may ask for copies of payment methods before paying out. WPT Global asks for ID, a utility bill and proof of deposits.

The practical risk is a KYC hold: a balance that cannot leave the site until documents are accepted. Rooms with true email-only sign-up, such as SwC Poker, trade that for no named operator, no regulator and no dispute route. SwC also states that player-to-player chip transfers cannot be reversed, so chips sent to a scammer stay sent.

Is P2P poker legal where you live

An offshore licence lets a company operate from Anjouan or Tobique; it does not make the room legal in your country. The Anjouan seal checker for CoinPoker and ACR lists Australia, France, the Netherlands, Spain, the UK and the USA as territories the licence does not cover, yet ACR runs a "USA Leaderboard". WPT Global's terms exclude the US, the UK, Ontario, Australia and much of the EU.

In Great Britain P2P poker is licensed under the Gambling Commission's remote casino operating licence, and LCCP condition 3.1.1 sets rules for networks that seat British players with customers of other operators. GB-licensed rooms must belong to GAMSTOP and must notify the Commission before accepting crypto. None of the rooms on this page holds a GB licence, and the Commission treats serving Britain without a licence as a criminal offence. The table below summarises other countries; the detail is in our P2P gambling laws guide and the UK guide.

Collusion, bots and table rules

In P2P poker the threat to your money comes from other players rather than the house, and the published rules target it. SwC bars two players from the same home from sitting at the same cash table, tournament or sit and go, and its one-hour "rathole" rule makes anyone returning to a table within an hour sit with at least what they left with. ACR's terms let it stop named users playing at the same table or in the same tournament. CoinPoker deducts rake and entry fees automatically and refunds them only if a game or tournament is cancelled.

Rake shapes results as much as cards do. At small stakes the rake is a large share of the money a winning player takes off the table, which is why caps, "no flop, no drop" and rakeback matter more than a welcome offer. Poker is one of the most skill-heavy P2P formats we cover; backgammon sits close to it, while blackjack tournaments and P2P bingo lean much further towards luck.

P2P poker questions

What is P2P poker?

P2P poker is poker played against other players rather than the house. The room deals the cards and takes rake from each pot or a fee on each tournament entry, and every chip you win comes from an opponent.

What are the best crypto poker sites?

The crypto poker sites we list are CoinPoker, ACR Poker and WPT Global: each has a licence we checked on the regulator's register and a published rake table. The licences or terms of all three exclude several countries, including the UK and the US, so the right room depends on where you live.

How much rake do online poker sites take?

At the rooms we checked, No Limit Hold'em rake is 4% (WPT Global) to 5% (ACR) of the pot, capped per hand. ACR's cap is $3 at tables of five or more, while WPT Global's cap at $1/$2 is $8 with five or more players.

What poker sites accept crypto?

CoinPoker takes BTC, USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL, TRX, BNB and XRP; ACR takes BTC, ETH, LTC, USDT and USDC; WPT Global accepts crypto as one deposit method. SwC Poker takes only Bitcoin but names no operator or licence.

Can you play crypto poker with no KYC?

Some rooms ask only for an email at sign-up, but licensed rooms keep the right to ask for ID. CoinPoker's terms allow checks at transaction thresholds or at any time, so expect a document request before a large withdrawal.

Is crypto poker legal?

It depends on your country, not the site's licence. In Great Britain only Gambling Commission licensees may offer poker; Australia bans online poker services and India has banned online money games since 1 May 2026.

Are crypto poker sites provably fair?

No room we checked uses provably fair shuffles. CoinPoker describes a Fisher-Yates RNG without naming a test lab, and ACR says iTech Labs certified its RNG.
